Powder coating - an environmentally friendly process
Powder coating is more environmentally friendly than wet paint coating as it contains no solvents, avoiding harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that contribute to air pollution. Unlike wet painting, overspray from powder coating can be collected and reused, significantly reducing waste. The process produces no hazardous waste, which simplifies disposal and minimizes environmental impact. In addition, powder coating provides a more durable finish, meaning less frequent recoating and maintenance is required, which in turn conserves resources. These benefits make powder coating a cleaner, safer and more sustainable alternative to conventional wet painting.
 

Gema products ensure savings and a clean process

Environmentally friendly production at Gema
The new Gema production facility in Gossau is equipped with photovoltaic and geothermal systems. This means that the majority of the energy required can be generated in-house and the company's ecological footprint is minimized. Gema focusses also on environmental protection and resource efficiency in whole production chain.
